Pianist Dasol Kim to Perform in Washington and New York

Korean pianist Dasol Kim brings “a refined artistry of incredible maturity” to his performances (North Germany Review). A sought-after soloist, he has appeared with orchestras including the New York Philharmonic in Seoul, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Berlin Chamber Orchestra, the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Budapest, and the Belgium National Orchestra.

French Clarinettist Raphaël Sévère Selected for 2014 Korean Concert Society Prize

KCS has selected French Clarinettist Raphaël Sévère to receive the 2014 Korean Concert Society Prize. He will perform a debut recital at the Kennedy Center in the 2014-15 season. Sévère won the 2013 Young Concert Artists audition and a jury of KCS board members selected him from among the other YCA winners for the prize.

Pianist Ji Winner of 2013 Korean Concert Society Prize

KCS selected Korean-born pianist J for the 2013 Korean Concert Society Prize. Ji won the 2012 Young Concert Artists (YCA) audition and a jury of KCS board members selected him from among the other YCA winners for the prize. He performed in a debut Recital at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on December 3, 2013. Ji was the first artist to win the Korean Concert Society Prize through a new partnership between KCS and YCA.

Jasmine Choi (KCS 2003) Appointed Principle Flute of Vienna Symphony

Jasmine Choi, who won the 2003 Korean Concert Society audition for a debut recital at the Kennedy Center, announced that she has won the audition for Principle Flute of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Her appointment in Austria begins in the 2012-2013 season.
